Meet The Owner

Jacary Lightsey

Jacary Lightsey is an 18-year-old freshman, student-athlete, and entrepreneur at Davidson College. Jacary was born & raised in Miami, FL, where he played many sports and participated in Theatre Arts. He moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina when he was 13 years old, and enrolled into Cape Fear High School. There he played football, basketball, and ran track. He started this shoe-customization business as a Sophomore in High School, inspired by his older sister. Throughout the pandemic in 2020, Jacary would draw all day long after his online class and his sister recommended that he draw on shoes instead, to generate some funds. Jacary then proceeded to draw her favorite cartoon character on a pair of her vans, which was the first pair of shoes he's ever done. In his senior year Jacary received an Offer to play football at Davidson College, and enrolled after graduation. Yes, Jacary is a full-time athlete and entrepreneur. Jacary's plan is to inspire those around him that your capabilities are beyond being one dimensional. He also makes it his priority to bring customers imagination to life upon a pair of shoes. "Paintin Passion Thru Kicks" is his memo because he isn't painting shoes just for money, he's painting shoes because it's a God-given gift that he was blessed with. He wants to inspire people to be passionate about what you're blessed with, even if it's unique and unusual.
